Tamil Nadu crawls to 134

Chennai: Tamil Nadu crawled to 134 for three, scoring at a tedious two runs an over for the most part of day two of the Elite Group B match for the Cooch Behar under-19 tournament here on Saturday.

Opener R. Rohit kept the innings together with a sedate, unbeaten 54. Earlier, Maharashtra’s last three wickets added 54 runs to take the visitors to 298.

At Hyderabad, a century by Kanishkk Naidu (118 not out, 268 balls, 11x4, 1x6) helped the host Hyderabad pile up an impressive 536 for nine on the second day against Assam at the Gymkhana Grounds.

At Delhi, Samarth Singh’s unbeaten 74 helped Delhi reach 135 for five in its first innings on the second day against Karnataka.

The scores: At Chennai: Maharashtra 298 in 111.2 overs (Abijeet Salvi 91, Rahul Tripathi 72) v Tamil Nadu 134 for three in 67 overs (R. Rohit 54 batting, Vijay Shankar 30).

At Hyderabad: Hyderabad 536 for nine (Nimeesh Reddy 87, Akshath Reddy 82, Kanishkk Naidu 118 not out) vs Assam 30 for two.

At Delhi: Karnataka 443 in 122.3 overs (Mayank Aggarwal 169, K.L. Rahul 137, Manoj Chauhan five for 80, Sunny Sehrawat three for 99) vs Delhi 135 for five in 53 overs (Samarth Singh 74 batting, H.S. Sharat three for 25).
